Kasba Peth in Pune, one of the oldest residential parts of Pune... this location sketched alongwith the Urban Sketchers Pune, is exactly adjacent to the Kasba Ganapati Mandir that I sketched & posted a few blogs back... the peths of Pune as the old parts of the city are called, with their typical wadas ( residences ) are an artists delight for sketching... & the play of light & shade that emerges on a sunny morning are an even more attractive feature to capture.

Mobo's Hotel... A beautiful colonial structure on Dhole Patil Road, Pune, India... It has a queer interplay of several sloping roofs... Surely must have been one of the best designed houses during its time... Unfortunately now modified to house weird commercial shacks etc & left very ill-maintained... An artist's delight all the same.. Its a blessing one can take artistic liberties... this one done today with the Urban Sketchers.Pune.

Colour added to the earlier Pen & Ink sketch after extracting a photocopy of the line-work before rendering one with Pen & Ink & the other with Watercolours.. 

This was the  unlikely sight in a corner of an otherwise well-planned college premise... 

A path leading to a culvert, culvert leading to a quaint little brick-structure with sloping tin-roof... complete with a tree-shadow fallen over it.. 

An artist's delight nevertheless.
